Via the myrical of the interweb I can see that there are folk out there who know a thing or two about rescuing old cabinets and making them new. And oh my...what transformations.
For a lesser mortal like myself who might see the potential beauty lurking in some old drawers but who sadly lack patience with a sander and a paintbrush the whole makeover can become something of a challenge. However "no pain no gain" as they say and sand and paint on we go.
But wait.....oh no. The final hurdle seems too high.
WHAT ABOUT THE KNOBS!
HOW DOES ONE FINISH ONES RESCUED CABINET SO ONE CAN ACTUALLY OPEN IT?
oh blimey.
The existing ones are missing/damaged/too yuky.......
and that, my old cabinet loving friends, is where FollyandGlee comes in.
Your cinderella cabinet shall go the ball.
I present the glass slipper equivalent in knob/drawer pull form......original 1960s Hemo plastic cabinet knobs in 4 gorgeous colors.
I am giving away x6 knobs in the colour or colours of your choice. Just email me at hello@follyandglee.co.uk with a picture of your cabinet makeover, or pop a comment on the blog. The furry one will pick a winner on 23 June.
Hello Polly
ReplyDeleteoh, this is great! Those knobs are terrific! I'll definitely send you a picture from another cabinet make over soon! :-)
By the way, this morning I was painting too, not a cabinet but a kind of serving trolley. It looked just perfectly white, when I suddenly got the idea, it would need just a little bit of yellow. After the yellow, I was sure, some blue was missing. After painting some blue, I wasn't happy at all, because now there was a obvious lack of orange. I got in a hurry and I think I messed it up at last. Will have to go over it tomorrow, spending my time in the cellar instead of crocheting in the sun. Ha, ha - No paint, no pain ;-)

What a fantastic giveaway - I have just started renovating a small cabinet (my first renovation project) and these knobs would be perfect for it! Fabulous colours!
